1 Timothy 1:14 The Grace of Our Lord Was Exceeding Abundant

1 Timothy 1:14 (KJV) And the grace of our Lord was exceeding abundant with faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.

It was the exceedingly abundant grace of the Lord that wrought the work of faith and love in the heart of His people. By ourselves, faith is wont and love is wanting. It is the bestowment of the Lord, that the Spirit’s fruit, of faith and love be manifested in the believers’ life.

The Apostle Paul testified of the change that took place in his personal life when he speaks of the exceeding abundant grace of the Lord – 1 Timothy 1:12-13 (KJV) And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry; Who was before a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and injurious: but I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.

He had a part in the gospel ministry which is amazing because the Lord turned him around and gave him the commission to a mission that he once hated and persecuted. The Lord was very gracious to him and he testified to glory Him. Amen.
