Psalm 71:5 For Thou Art My Hope

Psalm 71:5 (KJV) For thou art my hope, O Lord GOD: thou art my trust from my youth.

To the Lord GOD, the psalmist extols, “For Thou art my hope”. He has began that life of faith in yesteryears past and has remained in the faith, trusting the Lord GOD.

Psalm 71:6-7 (KJV) By thee have I been holden up from the womb: thou art he that took me out of my mother’s bowels: my praise shall be continually of thee. I am as a wonder unto many; but thou art my strong refuge.

The life of faith put him out of sync with the world and its ways. He realized that the life of faith seemed to go against life in the Broadway. It can be a lonely way, and yet not so, for the Lord GOD was with him.

Therefore, time and again, he cast himself to His care and found in Him strong refuge, giving him experience to yet again hope in Him. Amen.
