Hebrews 4:14-16 Let Us Therefore Come Boldly to the Throne of Grace

Hebrews 4:14-16 (KJV) Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

The Apostle Paul exhorts the church in the midst of grave persecution to holdfast to their profession of faith. To bring before the Lord anxieties and temptations and trials so that He might impart the wisdom to overcome.

It is to be done through prayer for the Lord, our High Priest, fully understands our weaknesses but despite all, there is help in the Lord.

Therefore, the exhortation is for them not be be dismayed, but boldly persevere in prayer for men ought always to pray and not to faint. Amen.
