Hebrews 6:19-20 Within The Veil
Hebrews 6:19-20 (KJV) Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil; Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.
It is within the veil that the Israel’s high priest enter the most holy place in the tabernacle or temple once a year to make atonement for himself and the sins of the people of Israel.
When our Lord Jesus complete the atonement work for our sins on the cross, when He gave up the ghost, it was recorded in the gospels that the veil that separates the holy place from the most holy place was torn from top to bottom signifying the completed work of redemption that Christ has wrought on behalf of His people.
Our souls are secured in Christ who Himself made atonement for our sins and is the High Priest also not after the Levitical priesthood system but of an eternal order after Melchisedec, the priest in Salem whom Abraham, the father of the Jews, brought sacrifices to and was accepted of God.
Christ’s priesthood at the right hand of the Father is an everlasting priesthood by which we can boldly come to find a sure and steadfast hope for now and eternity that will not fail. Amen.
