1 Thessalonians 5:16-17 Rejoice and Pray
1 Thessalonians 5:16-17 (KJV) Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing.
Two commands for the believers comfort and care. To rejoice evermore. And to pray without ceasing.
To rejoice is to find joy in the Lord’s presence and power and prayer that we shall never be lost in His care. We are therefore to subsist in Him and find all our needs provided by His providence.
Wherever there is any concern, believers are exhorted to be connected to the heavenly Father continually through Christ. More so when all things seemed well, believers are exhorted to keep in close communion in prayer.
May His grace therefore sustain and prosper believers’ lives. Amen.
