Psalm 147:7-11 Sing Unto the LORD With Thanksgiving
Psalm 147:7-11 (KJV) Sing unto the LORD with thanksgiving; sing praise upon the harp unto our God: Who covereth the heaven with clouds, who prepareth rain for the earth, who maketh grass to grow upon the mountains. He giveth to the beast his food, and to the young ravens which cry. He delighteth not in the strength of the horse: he taketh not pleasure in the legs of a man. The LORD taketh pleasure in them that fear him, in those that hope in his mercy.
The LORD is the provider – He giveth the rain as He covers the heaven with clouds so that the grass will grow upon the mountains and the beasts of the field find their good, even the young ravens are not passed, He hears their cry of need.
Let not man and beast boast of their strength for the LORD delights not in their boasting. It is He who in His mercy endowed them with their strength. Let the LORD be acknowledged for He indeed is our Provider.
Let His people fear Him and hope in His mercy. Let us come to the LORD with thanksgiving and sing praises unto Him. He is unfailing in His mercy towards those who fear Him for He has pleasure in showing them mercy. Amen.
