Psalm 4:3 The LORD Will Hear

Psalm 4:3 (KJV) But know that the LORD hath set apart him that is godly for himself: the LORD will hear when I call unto him.

The psalmist is confident that the LORD will hear the prayers of the godly. These are those whom the LORD hath set apart for Himself.

The LORD undertakes to defend and protect His people who are called by His Name. Although the psalmist seemed assailed and under great duress, he is confident that the LORD will see him through.

Having cast his burden upon the LORD, He shall find rest in Him – Psalm 4:8 (KJV) I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, LORD, only makest me dwell in safety.
