Psalm 19:7 (KJV) The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.

The LORD gives His law. It is His perfect law, flawless and faultless. It is the way by which the soul burdened by sin recognized his inadequacies and finds help in Christ.

It is the testimony of God’s law as articulated in the Ten Commandments written by the finger of God and given to man that shows him how to live rightly with God and fellow men. It is true wisdom for the simple. The “simple” is the word that means immature, naive.

The law of God therefore shows man his utter sinfulness and points him to find salvation in Christ – Galatians 3:24 (KJV) Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. Amen.
