Lord’s Day, Vol. 12. No. 26
Preparation for “The 7am Service”
We shall begin “The 7am Service” tomorrow, 1 July 2024 from 7am – 745am at the William Booth Chapel at Level 2.
Services shall be held every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The Thursday Service will be held at the Booth Tucker Room at Level 2.
Why is the service held at 7am? Because this is time the chapel will be available for our use. I believe it’s the Lord’s appointment for His people to meet with Him in worship. It is an answer to prayer. It allows members and friends to gather for prayer and the quiet meditation of the Word of God. Let the services be evangelistic, do invite new friends to come.
Philippians 4:6-7 (KJV) Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
God willing, services will be held in July, August, September, October and November 2024. There will be a recess in December 2024.
The timing of the service enables worshippers to come before the morning rush hour.
The discipline of having a good night’s rest the day before and the preparation to go for service will require some adjustment to our daily calendar. I pray that you will make this appointment with the Lord to come for this service. They culminate with the Lord’s Day Service that will begin each week.
Let it be a foretaste of heaven as we meet in the quiet of God’s House to behold His glory. There shall be three hymns, prayer and the exhortation of God’s Word in each service.
There will be a daily “live” webcast of “The 7am Service” to facilitate our homebound members and friends. It is available at the “live” tab on the church website www.blessedhope.sg This is the link – https://web.sermonaudio.com/webcasts/blessedhope/?autoplay=true&popout=true
As we see the day of Christ approaching, we are to watch and pray – 1 Thessalonians 5:1-2, 4-8 (KJV). 1But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you. 2 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. … 4 But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. 5 Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. 6 Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober. 7 For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night. 8 But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.
Yours lovingly,
Pastor Lek Aik Wee
