Luke 5:5-6 At Thy Word I will Let Down the Net
Luke 5:5-6 (KJV) And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net. 6 And when they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake.
Simon Peter was a fisherman. He went out fishing and caught nothing all the night. When Jesus bid him to go out to sea again with these words. “Launch Out Into the Deep”. He obeyed.
He caught a whole net full. The fishes swam into the net whereas for the whole night the fishes swam away from the net. Truly, even the fishes are beckoned at our Lord’s command.
The “word” of Christ has power, that’s the Greek word “rhema”, the word that sustains this universe and our livelihood. Amen.
