Psalm 55:22 Cast Thy Burden Upon the LORD

Psalm 55:22 (KJV) Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.

The psalmist’s exhortation for the people of God who may be troubled and distressed to cast their burden upon the LORD. The LORD has promised that He will hear our troubles and send needful help.

The promise is that He shall never suffer the righteous to be moved. He will not leave nor forsake His people. He will surely come to them and that right early. He will not be delayed one bit in coming to the aid of His people.

Let His people take heart and come to Him. A good paraphrase of this verse are the words of the Apostle Paul in Philippians 4:6-7 (KJV) Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. 7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Amen.
