Proverbs 7:1-3 Keep My Law As the Apple of Thine Eye

Proverbs 7:1-3 (KJV) My son, keep my words, and lay up my commandments with thee. 2 Keep my commandments, and live; and my law as the apple of thine eye. 3 Bind them upon thy fingers, write them upon the table of thine heart.

The exhortation to lay up or hide and keep the commandments of God in the heart ready to be used at any time. For in doing so, such a son shall live. To live is to thrive spiritually speaking. This is the fatherly admonition.

Let the law of God be the essential focus for spiritual sight. The apple of the eye refers to that part of the eye that is most precious. Let the Word of God be greatly valued.

How can this be done, the Word of God be visibly at your finger tips, for ready use and the most effective way is to memorize and internalize God’s Word. Amen.
