Matthew 10:42 Give to Drink Unto One of These Little Ones

Matthew 10:42 (KJV) And whosoever shall give to drink unto one of these little ones a cup of cold water only in the name of a disciple, verily I say unto you, he shall in no wise lose his reward

The disciples of Christ were exhorted by Christ to be about the Father’s business, in the work of the gospel, doing good and ministering kindness. They shall in no wise lose their reward.

This matter of giving to drink unto one of the little ones a cup of cold water, to quench his thirst, is a precious work in the sight of Christ and His disciples are command not to despise such a good work.

The blessing of a reward brings to perspective that it is a work that Christ approves and encourages with His favour toward the giver. Amen.
