2 Timothy 1:10 Life and Immortality Through the Gospel

2 Timothy 1:10 (KJV) But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:

The gospel has to power to bring forth life and immortality. It is availed to all who come to the Saviour Jesus Christ. This is the context in 2 Timothy 1:9 (KJV) Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began.

The salvation plan of God was established before the world began, a mind-boggling truth and humbles us thoroughly. It manifest His great love and His great wisdom.

The purpose of God was to bring spiritual life and immortality to His people to trust in the merits of Christ. Amen.
