1 Peter 2:5 (KJV) Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.

The church of Jesus Christ is described as lively stones that built up a spiritual house. God’s people are the house of God. The church is characterized by holiness and worship in spirit and in truth.

The offering up of spiritual sacrifices, the devotion of God’s people toward Him, is pleasing to Him and an acceptable consecration in His sight.

This is made possible because of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour, His sacrifice on our behalf for sins that allow us to draw nigh unto Him. All praise to Him. Amen.
