Proverbs 9:10-11 The Fear of the LORD Multiply Days and Increased Years

Proverbs 9:10-11 (KJV) The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding. For by me thy days shall be multiplied, and the years of thy life shall be increased.

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom. To hold sacred regard toward the LORD is the beginning of life with God. For it inclines the heart to the ways of God and humbles the heart to yield to the will of God.

The knowledge of God is summed up in His holiness. Knowing the holiness of God and living in holiness as a reflection of the God-given character of His beloved children is wisdom.

When such wisdom of living in holiness becomes a holiness habit, days are multiplied and years prolonged to the glory of God and blessing of His beloved children. Amen.
