Psalm 28:2 Hear the Voice of My Supplication

Psalm 28:2 (KJV) Hear the voice of my supplications, when I cry unto thee, when I lift up my hands toward thy holy oracle.

The holy oracle is the place where answer to prayer is given. It is at the inner sanctuary of the tabernacle where God dwells with His people. It is the place where psalmist express his hope in the power, wisdom, justice, holiness and truth of God resides. It is the place of hope.

The lifting up of the hands, to stretch forth toward the holy place of God where God’s mercy is remitted. The psalmist’s prayers were specific, God hearts the voice of his supplication as he cries out to Him for help.

The psalmist gave praise to the LORD for answering his prayer and he rejoices in song in praises to the LORD – Psalm 28:6-7 (KJV) Blessed be the LORD, because he hath heard the voice of my supplications. The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him. Amen.
