1 Peter 2:9 Called Out of Darkness Into His Marvellous Light

1 Peter 2:9 (KJV) But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:

This is the statement of salvation in Christ, deliverance from the bondage of sin, when darkness symbolic of sin and death is dispelled by the blood of Christ, shed upon the cross two thousand years ago, to take away the sin of the world.

It is indeed worthy of our every praise, having been made very whole, no blemish in God’s sight because of God see perfection of Christ covering the body of our sins. We can be saved because God chose us that we may believe His Christ. After we are saved, we have directed access to God, we are priests before God through Christ, our Great High Priest, we can bring our petitions and praise to Him through Christ and God answers!

Christ’s atonement has made us holy in the sight of God, and we are a special people, representatives of God, ambassadors of Christ to bring to reconcile unsaved men to God. What a privilege! Let His people forth forth to do His bidding. Amen.
