Psalm 119:162 One That Findeth Great Spoil

Psalm 119:162 (KJV)  I rejoice at thy word, as one that findeth great spoil. 

The psalmist testifies that God’s Word is indeed a mine of spiritual wealth that he was glad to find. He was so happy proclaiming to us “I rejoice at thy word”.

The wisdom that God’s Word imparts is invaluable. It covers varied aspects of life. Just as a victory in war brings with it the spoils of the enemy so does the Word of God in enabling victorious warfare for the souls of men.

Let us not be weary of well-doing in due time we shall reap the benefit of doing good. May His Word strengthen and encourage His people to persevere in the work of the gospel. Amen.
