2 Timothy 1:9 Saved Before the World Began

2 Timothy 1:9 (KJV)  Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began, 

The plan of salvation, it is revealed to us, began before the foundation of this universe was laid. It was conceived in the heart of God. A most mind-boggling truth that rejoices our hearts to know that our lives are no accidents but carefully crafted in the infinite mind of our Almighty God.

He has purposed for our salvation and that we would live holily before Him by His grace. What a blessing to know that God cares that we are not consigned to the misery of sin but recused from sin’s snare to live in glory before God.

Let His people rejoice and be glad that our great God has saved us with an holy calling, not according to our works. but according to His own purpose and grace, for His glory. Amen.
