Psalm 34:8-9 (KJV) O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him. 9 O fear the LORD, ye his saints: for there is no want to them that fear him. 

Life with God begins with faith in trusting Him and then beholding His goodness. The fear of the LORD is the spiritual demeanour of a poverty of spirit and a mourning for sin, a hunger and thirst after righteousness and a meek spirit to submit to the will of God.

The psalmist tells us the God-fearer will have no lack because the LORD directs his way, guides his steps and prospers his way. What a blessed man, observed the psalmist, who trust in the LORD.

The goodness of the LORD is to be tasted and seen. It is to be experienced with delight. Amen.
