Proverbs 12:26 The Righteous Is More Excellent Than His Neighbour

Proverbs 12:26 (KJV) The righteous is more excellent than his neighbour: but the way of the wicked seduceth them. 

The just man is a guide to his neighbour in that sense he is more excellent. He has God’s Word to guide him and therefore by divine guidance, he navigates life skilfully to the glory of God.

The wicked on the other hand is no guide for anyone for he wanders toward self-destruction by his wicked ways – Proverbs 16:25 (KJV) There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death. 

Thus, the contrast is made. It is therefore to distinguish the way of righteousness and to walk therein. This is true safety. Amen.
