2 Corinthians 5:17 If Any Man Be In Christ

2 Corinthians 5:17 (KJV) Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

One who comes to Christ is described as a new creature. This word “creature” in the NT generally as God’s creative action translation “creation” – Romans 1:20 (KJV) For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

The believer is a new creation in Christ. He is described as living in newness of life. The old life of sin and its miserable consequences have been repented of and no longer hold the affection of the new man.

There is a transformation from uncleanness to holiness. This new life manifests the purity of life with God. It is life of God-given peace and joy. Most appreciated by the one transformed. Amen.
