John 9:4 Work While It Is Day

John 9:4 (KJV)  I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.

Our Lord was up and about the work of the Father while He was on earth. He says, “I must work the works of Him that sent me, while it is day”.

Why did Jesus say that? Because He reasoned, “the night cometh, when no man can work.” While we are on earth, God has appointed His people to serve and glorify Him with our lives. And our usefulness is but for a limited time.

Therefore, our Lord Jesus sets us the example to do His will daily. May the Lord undergird His people with His grace to accomplish His holy will in our lives. Amen.
