2 Thessalonians 2:13 Give Thanks Alway

2 Thessalonians 2:13 (KJV) But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth: 

The Apostle Paul gives thanks to the Lord for the salvation of the souls in the church in Thessalonica. It was according to the will of God that these would come to faith in Jesus Christ.

It was God’s sovereign choice that these be saved and with salvation also sanctification (made holy) when the truth of God’s Word is received with faith, taken hold of with conviction and change follows.

What a marvellous thing to see souls saved and sanctified by the power of God. As it was in the Apostle Paul’s time so it is in our time. Amen.
