Psalm 119:15 Meditate In Thy Precepts and Have Respect Unto Thy Ways

Psalm 119:15 (KJV) I will meditate in thy precepts, and have respect unto thy ways. 

The psalmist consecrated himself to learn of the precepts of God in His Word. He will meditate “in thy precepts” is his determined course.

To meditate is to ponder, consider, and think to understand and thereby assimilate and live according to God’s laws. This will require effort by setting aside time so that God’s Word can be duly considered.

The psalmist also prayerfully commits himself to “have respect unto thy ways”. He will honour the LORD by observing and obeying His laws. This is the way of blessing that he understood and shared it for our emulation. Amen.
