Psalm 119:77 Thy Law Is My Delight

Psalm 119:77 (KJV) Let thy tender mercies come unto me, that I may live: for thy law is my delight. 

The psalmist delights in the law of God. He takes time to read and meditate upon what the LORD tells him. He describes as the tender mercies of the LORD coming unto him.

He is instructed about the dangers befalling him in willful, rash and wrong choices that will bring him harm. He is quietened when he reads the Word so his calm disposition enables him to make sound decisions.

He is grateful to the LORD for His love that grants him self-control to do according to the will of God. That is true happiness. Not what worldly can offer that will bring no peace. Amen.
