Deuteronomy 13:4 Ye Shall Walk After the LORD Your God
Deuteronomy 13:4 (KJV) Ye shall walk after the LORD your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto him.
What does it mean to walk after the LORD our God? It means not walking before him, that is ahead of Him, so that His people will walk according to His will.
The fear of the LORD that heart-knowledge and heart-inclination that enables one to keep the commandments of the LORD. Such reverence for the LORD will enable His people to obey His voice and not contrast voices that call good evil and evil good.
Only in obedience that we serve Him and cleave to Him. He guards and protects His people. Self-serving ways in contrast, will harm and devastate, it is better to walk after the LORD your God. Amen.
