Psalm 116:5 Gracious Is the LORD

Psalm 116:5 (KJV) Gracious is the LORD, and righteous; yea, our God is merciful. 

The LORD is gracious to hear the psalmist’s prayer. He hearts our prayer through the righteousness of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the second Person of the Godhead.

It is through the atoning sacrifice of Christ that our petitions reaches our Heavenly Father, who is merciful to condescend to our lost estate to save us. The channel to heaven promises the mercy of God dispensed for His needy children.

This is the heartfelt warmth of the Father’s love and the Son’s willingness to do the will of the Father that opens the way of communication for divine aid and guidance. May His people appropriate it. All glory to the LORD. Amen.
