Psalm 1:3 Like a Tree Planted by the Rivers of Water

Psalm 1:3 (KJV) And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

For a tree to be planted by the rivers of water, it means that the root will be able to absorb the nutrients from the lively waters of the river that nourish the soil and enable the tree to grow and to fruit.

Fruit comes in its seasons. It takes time to grow. The process involves consistent intake of goodness from the root to the branches and to cause buds to flower and bear fruit.

With a constant supply of nutrients, the tree grows healthily. So is the spiritual life of God’s people who feed on His Word and through prayer by the work of the Holy Spirit, grows spiritually. Amen.
