Mark 1:35 Rising Up a Great While Before Day and Departed Into a Solitary Place and There Prayed

Mark 1:35 (KJV) And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed. 

Our Lord’s spiritual habit was to wake up early before the actions of the day started. Finds a quiet place where He can be alone in prayer with the Father.

The communion between the Son and the Father was the strength for a new day. The communion revitalises and refreshes the Son as He fulfils the Father’s mandate for another day.

It was the strength for yet another day of mission in a hostile world. David did so, Daniel did so, our Lord did so. So must we, His needy people. Amen.
