Psalm 119:34 Give Me Understanding

Psalm 119:34 (KJV) Give me understanding, and I shall keep thy law; yea, I shall observe it with my whole heart. 

A heart tender to understand the wisdom of God and inclined to obey God’s law is very precious. The psalmist understood this is a bestowment from the LORD.

There is a desire to obey and walk in the ways of God. Yet there is a pulling factor that threatens to tear him from that blessed way. He shudders and pleads for God’s grace to understand the veracity of God’s law and to obey it with his whole heart.

Such devotion is precious. It is God’s blessing. Let us be thankful to seek and be thankful for it. Amen.
