2 Timothy 4:18 Delivered and Preserved

2 Timothy 4:18 (KJV) And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen. 

The Apostle Paul recounted his life and looked ahead, recounting the Lord’s faithfulness in delivering and preserving him from the attack of the evil one in multi-faceted forms, and being confident that he will be conducted by the grace of God all the way to His heavenly kingdom.

He testified of God’s faithfulness so that Timothy may likewise be fortified to walk in his steps following the Lord, trusting in His very and every care – Psalm 121:7 (KJV) The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul. 

He gave all glory to the Lord and praised Him continually as the psalmist declared in Psalm 121:8 (KJV) The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore. Amen.
