Lord’s Day, Vol. 13 No. 3

(1) The 7am Service
God willing, we shall begin “The 7am Service” in February 2025. It shall be held every Tuesday and Friday at the William Booth Chapel.
Mr Lucas Lek shall be preaching on Joshua and Judges (18 sessions) whilst Pastor Lek on the Book of Philippians (6 sessions). God willing, there shall be 24 sessions from February – April 2025.
Do pray for God’s grace to bless His Word as we gather in this early morning hour of worship to meet with Him.
(2) 11th Anniversary Thanksgiving Service

God willing, we shall gather next Lord’s Day to remember the Lord’s goodness and grace for His church in the past 11 years.
The choir shall be singing selective stanzas from the Geneva and Scottish Psalter on Psalm 81. Do uphold the choir as they prepare to sing aloud unto God our strength.
Geneva Psalter (Psalm 81)
v1. Sing a psalm of joy;
Shout with holy fervor.
All your skills employ
With your heart and soul
Jacob’s God extol.
He is our preserver.
v2. O all Is-ra-el,
Voice your jubilation.
Let your music swell;
Harp and timbrel play.
Show in every way
Joy and exultation.
v4. Keep by God’s command
Your commemoration.
When in Egypt’s land
Captive Is-ra-el
Did in bondage dwell,
He gave liberation.
v7. Is-ra-el, draw nigh.
O My people, hear Me.
While I testify
And admonish you.
Oh, in all you do,
Would you but revere Me!
Scottish Psalter (Psalm 81)
v10. I, who brought you up from Egypt,
Your own God, the LORD, am I;
Open wide your mouth towards me,
And your food I will supply.
v11-12. But my people would not listen
Would not do what I required.
So I gave them up to follow
What their stubborn hearts desired.
v13-14. If my people would but heed me,
Isr’el follow my command,
I would soon subdue their en’mies,
And against them tune my hand.
v15-16. Those who hate the LORD would cower,
And their doom would never end.
But with finest wheat I’d feed you,
Honey from the rock I’d send.
