Proverbs 19:11 The Discretion Of A Man Deferreth His Anger

Proverbs 19:11 (KJV) The discretion of a man deferreth his anger; and it is his glory to pass over a transgression.

Being slow to anger, taking time to consider the offence against him, he forgives the offence against him – the discretion of a man deferreth his anger.

Just as David hearkened to Abigail’s plea to not wrought folly by taking vengeance on Nabal for mistreating him and his men. It would have been a blemish to him if his anger had prevailed. The LORD Himself dealt with Nabal.

Our Lord Himself gave this testimony – Matthew 18:32 (KJV)  Then his lord, after that he had called him, said unto him, O thou wicked servant, I forgave thee all that debt, because thou desiredst me: Amen.
