1 Corinthians 15:57 (KJV) But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 

The Apostle Paul was concluding soon his first epistle to the Corinthians affirming the power of the gospel to save. He exhorts the church to steadfastness in being Christ’s witnesses.

Victory over the grave, resurrection from the dead, and death has lost its stink are glorious truths that come through faith in Christ. The people of God are exhorted to give thanks to God for what Christ has done on their behalf.

They are exhorted to rejoice in their salvation in Christ, persevere in their witness for Him, and wait for the time for their change. Amen.
