2 Corinthians 4:6 Light to Shine Out of Darkness

2 Corinthians 4:6 (KJV) For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

A little light amid gross darkness is a bright light. Here is illustrated by the analogy of light the illumination of the heart to understand, discern and take hold of spiritual truths.

The focal point is knowledge of the true Saviour, Jesus Christ, the Son of God. The Apostle John expressed well when he said in John 1:9 (KJV)  That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.

God is a Spirit but the exact representation of God is Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who was made flesh and dwelt among men. Jesus Christ is the veiled glory of God so that man may behold God in the Person of Jesus Christ and be saved. Amen
