Proverbs 20:12 (KJV) The hearing ear, and the seeing eye, the LORD hath made even both of them. 

The brilliant design and function of the eye enable us the see and the ear enables us to hear. It is traced to the LORD who is the Maker and the Sustainer.

The Lord smote Saul with blindness with a bright light while he was persecuting Christians. His blindness collapsed his world. He was confronted with the truth that Jesus is God, that He is his Maker and Sustainer. His eyes were restored, Saul or Paul was a new man, old things had passed away, and he had been gloriously saved.

How precious is the ability to see and hear! How good is the Lord who gives to us our sight and hearing. Amen.
