Lord’s Day, Vol. 13 No. 7

Reading the New Testament

We began reading the New Testament Scripture from January – April 2025. Thus far, we have covered the 4 Gospels, the Books of Acts and Romans.

Let us remember three biblical pointers to aid our reading: (1) Pray (2) Patience (3) Perseverance.

(1) Pray

Let us begin each reading with prayer for the Holy Spirit to illumine our understanding that we may learn of Christ and glorify Him (John 15:26).

(2) Patience

A word of encouragement from our Lord Jesus in the parable of the sower – Luke 8:15 (KJV) But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.

(3) Perseverance

The psalmist exemplified this spiritual trait of perseverance in keeping close to God in seeking God early and following hard after Him (Psalm 63:1-8).

The 7am Service

This is the critical 2nd week as we endeavour to gather in this early morning hour.

Pray the Lord strengthen and bless His people as we gather to worship Him every Tuesday and Friday.
