Psalm 31:20 Hid and Kept

Psalm 31:20 (KJV) Thou shalt hide them in the secret of thy presence from the pride of man: thou shalt keep them secretly in a pavilion from the strife of tongues.

It was the psalmist’s testimony that the LORD preserved him from the pride of man and the strife of tongues. He was graciously the LORD delivered him – Psalm 31:19 (KJV)  Oh how great is thy goodness, which thou hast laid up for them that fear thee; which thou hast wrought for them that trust in thee before the sons of men!

The psalmist was a God-fearer and he trusted the LORD in those dire circumstances. The LORD protected him and he is thankful that there is a place He hid and kept His servant.

And thus, he extolled and praised the LORD – Psalm 31:21 (KJV) Blessed be the LORD: for he hath shewed me his marvellous kindness in a strong city. Amen.
