Acts 1:8 After That The Holy Ghost Is Come Upon You

Acts 1:8 (KJV)  But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

As it is in every spiritual endeavour, it is Spirit-led. The example of the building of the Second Temple in the Old Testament so at the beginning of the church in the New Testament – Zechariah 4:6 (KJV) Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.

The Holy Spirit will lead God’s people to exalt Christ – preach the gospel, baptising, doing and teaching the whole counsel of God in His Word for the extension of His kingdom outside starting at home. The breadth and extent of the outreach is as far as the Holy Spirit will lead even unto the uttermost part of the earth.

The disciples of Christ were not scattered but assembled together, praying and seeking the Lord – Acts 1:14 (KJV) These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren. Amen.
