Deuteronomy 31:8 (KJV) And the LORD, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed. 

The assurance of the LORD leading His people by His presence with them is to allay all their fears and quell all disappointments. There is much that would threaten their confidence in their walk with the LORD.

The word “dismayed” means “to be shattered”. In other words, be not shattered by what you are facing is the word of the LORD to His people Israel.

Be still, and be not fearful, be courageous for the LORD will neither fail nor forsake His people. What great assurance! Amen.
