Psalm 63:1 (KJV)  A Psalm of David, when he was in the wilderness of Judah.
 O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is; 

The psalmist understood that spiritual nourishment is given only in God, He sought God at the earliest possible time.

He saw his dire need, the spiritual dryness that eats up his soul. He needed to be connected with the LORD, who is the Source of water, that assuages spiritual thirst!

He will spare no effort but seek the LORD so that he may see the power and the glory of the LORD in the sanctuary. Blessed communion. Amen.
