Psalm 119:156 (KJV)  Great are thy tender mercies, O LORD: quicken me according to thy judgments. 

The tender mercies of the LORD is His compassion, mercy, tenderness, affection. The Old Testament authors thought of the womb or bowels as the seat of warm and tender emotions that is shown forth from the LORD.

The tender mercies of the LORD are plenteous. His people cannot begin and properly to count and number His tender mercies. The psalmist sought the LORD would preserve him through His judgments.

That he may live and continue to be steadfast following the LORD amidst grave adversities – Psalm 119:157 (KJV)  Many are my persecutors and mine enemies; yet do I not decline from thy testimonies. Amen.
