Psalm 71:5 (KJV)  For thou art my hope, O Lord GOD: thou art my trust from my youth. 

The psalmist looks ahead and saw that He holds the future. And therefore, he wrote, “For thou art my hope”.

And it is interesting the psalmist addressed the LORD translated “GOD” as His Master or Lord. In other words, he subjects or submits himself to the LORD’s leading, that He knows best, and it shall be the best for him.

There he raised his hope in the LORD who has been his guide from young. The passage of time and his past experience assures him of the LORD’s utmost care for him. He will not fret but fully confident in the LORD’s leading. A worthy example for our emulation. Amen.
