2 Peter 1:3-4 Ye Might Be Partakers of the Divine Nature

2 Peter 1:3-4 (KJV)  According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

Salvation of the believer through Christ unleashed the power of God for life and godliness. Called of God, the believer begin that blessed life with God to glory and virtue.

That power to spiritual life comes through the Word of God, these exceeding great and precious promises that enables the believer to overcome sin. To escape the corruption that is in the world through lust.

It is therefore imperative for the believer to take hold of God’s Word through constant and consistent meditation and application to grow in grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
