Romans 6:17-18 Being Then Made Free From Sin

Romans 6:17-18 (KJV)  But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you. Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.

To be made free from sin and to become servants of righteousness comes with obedience to the form of doctrine that the Scriptures teach. Herein is highlighted the path of freedom.

The contrast with the past, being the servants of sin, from the present life of righteousness for the Christian is a stark contrast. A change that God has effected by which the believer having being delivered from sin is very thankful to Him.

May His people cherish the freedom of being servants of righteousness than being the servants of sin. Amen.
