Hosea 14:5 (KJV)  I will be as the dew unto Israel: he shall grow as the lily, and cast forth his roots as Lebanon. 

The morning dew waters and nourishes the grass in the field as likened to the grace of God, endowed upon God’s people day by day, day to day. It prepares the field, wets it for the sun to flourish its further through the day.

The picture of the growing lily, its amazing beauty and purity, is another emblem of the glorious grace of God blessing and adorning His people. How lovely and sweet the fragrance the flower emit to his environment!

Then there is the cedar trees from Lebanon, strong and sturdy, looming high in the forest. What majesty! A picture of God’s blessed care for His people. Amen.
