John 15:26 (KJV)  But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:

The Holy Spirit was introduced by our Lord Jesus Christ as the Comforter. The word “comforter” means “one that come alongside”.

Our Lord Jesus will soon complete His earthly work and be ascended to heaven. The Holy Spirit, the Comforter, will be sent to testify of Christ Jesus, that He is the Son of God.

The Holy Spirit will be sent from the Father after Christ’s ascension to heaven to guide and help and lead the church to accomplish the work of testifying of Christ, that in believing, turning from their sins, men might be saved. Amen.
