Proverbs 14:26-27 (KJV)  In the fear of the LORD is strong confidence: and his children shall have a place of refuge.  27The fear of the LORD is a fountain of life, to depart from the snares of death. 

There are two privileges that the God fearer enjoys. He finds in the LORD a place of refuge and escape the snares of death.

For in the LORD is strong confidence alluding to the security the LORD provides to all who seek Him and choose to obey His Word. There is therefore in the LORD and His counsel safety from the snares of death, the missteps of life.

In this regard, to fear the LORD is spoken of as a fountain of life. In abiding in the LORD and His counsel, he is nourished not just for now but forevermore. Amen.
